Jonah Hill OUT of Transformers 2
Posted by admin on May 7th, 2008 |
We’ve been hearing rumours of Dreamworks’ restarting their casting process for “Transformers 2” for a couple of days now (similar to the “Jumper” situation of 2006), but I wasn’t sure whether or not the scooper was on the money, or yanking my crank. Seems he wasn’t – yanking it.
“Apparently someone-at-the-top just wasn’t happy with a few of the casting choices that McG had made on the film”, the chap told us on Sunday. “So some of those names you’ve been talking about may be out”.
Interestingly enough, Entertainment Weekly just reported that Jonah Hill (who IESB believes was set to play the college buddy of Shia LaBeouf’s character in the movie) is no longer a part of the film. The portly funnyman was in negotiations to join the cast a couple of weeks back, but things have turned sour.
Teresa Palmer was announced as the frontrunner for the female lead a week or so ago. We’ve no idea whether she’s still onboard. Or whether her talks have also broke down.
Instead of “Transformers 2″, Jonah Hill was apparently fill a spot in “Night at the Museum 2″.
